A Little About Us

A Little About Us

We’re a couple that enjoys travel for many reasons. Sometimes it’s just for a
change of scenery, to get away, relax, simplify our lives and recharge.

At this stage of our lives and with more time available we are seeking out more engaging experiences. We enjoy travel for cultural experiences including visiting renowned art museums, historical landmarks and world heritage sites. We also enjoy visiting more exotic locations like Bangkok, Marrakesh or Yangon. Have you ever been to a floating flower market or deep inside a medina, how about a gilded Hindu temple? Imagine attending a three-day cremation ceremony that includes a parade, day long chanting and endless incense permeating the air.

One guiding influence in choosing our adventures is that we are very active and enjoy the beauty of nature and being deep in the woods. We prefer adventures that take us outdoors to go hiking, cycling and trekking. We have enjoyed trips to the Himalayas to trek to Mt Everest Base Camp and hiking the Medford Track in New Zealand. We’ve been river rafting down the Amazon and across Chile. Some our most recent and memorable trips have been walking tours in Europe including the Camino de Santiago in Spain, The Cotswold’s in England and The Great Glen Way in Scotland.

One of our favorite ways to enjoy a country is by taking a food tour or a cooking class. Going on a food adventure with a renowned Italian chef to his favorite Farmer’s Market in Rome? This is truly a wonderful way to enjoy a country and its people and cuisine. I dream of Italy, France and Spain.

We find travel can take us beyond our comfort levels and allow us to experience peoples and cultures that are much different than ours. We see travel as an opportunity to learn and grow and see the world through new eyes. We come back with a deeper acceptance and understanding of our world and a deeper reverence for the opportunity to have the freedoms that we enjoy.
